This website takes only eight foods that take up about 90 percent of why people have food allergies. The one that is being focused on is Milk.
Milk
Having a milk allergy and having lactose intolerance are two different things. A milk allergy is developed usually in the infant's first year of life but it is usually out grown. with lactose intolerance there are different types and it is usually not out grown. The reason why people are lactose intolerant is because they are missing the enzyme lactase which would break down the enzymes in milk.
Although the question becomes seeing as how we are the only species that continues to drink milk past the infant stage. Therefore could lactose intolerance be avoided if it was stopped being drank at the infant years or also if it was gone the most natural way which would be breast milk; would lactose intolerance then be gone?
This website has helped as far as the information that is giving and given out good ideas for the food paper that will soon be coming.

The facts on your post were interesting, Thats crazy that 90% of food allergies are made up of only 8 foods. You did a good job explaining what causes milk allergies and explaining what the article talked about.
ReplyDeleteAlso you have one of the best blog layouts out there. haha

ReplyDeleteThat is really interesting to find out that there is a difference, I never would have thought to separate the two. I thought they were one in the same and could both be effected based on infant care and what forms of milk were used. As I now have a baby i want to do everything i can to ensure that i prevent him having as many allergies as possible.
